    I am sure I would!

Getting "dressed up" at the nice restaurant just seems like a "romantic date". We like to go to room and get ready. I am dressed first of course, then I leave to go get us a coupe of drinks at the bikini bar. Then I come back and knock on the door to take my date to dinner.

It is just a nice experience. If I was in shorts and a t-shirt I would not feel like it is special.

Hope you have a great time.

Couldn't agree more! My other bugbear is foul language. Twice on our last trip the couple(s) on the next table to us were swearing loudly, using the F word every sentence (mostly the women!).
I too can swear like a trooper, but not at dinner please ! :daisy:

Please tell me more about what I should wear and how I should speak on my vacation.

Silly me, I thought I paid big bucks to enjoy myself but apparently I need to be aware of everyone's tastes.

Personally I expect a variety of styles and language in an environment where people from all walks of life congregate but maybe I'm just odd.

Yes, I realize I can be a little scathingly sarcastic at times.

Being part of Society requires one to step up to and follow minimum standards and follow rules which are clearly posted and requires proper attire as stated to be worn at the restaurants in question.

I wasn't aware paying 'big bucks' gave anyone the right to do whatever they wanted with plain disregard to the discomfort of others.
Or maybe that's just me being civilised. :daisy:

Here I was thinking that TTR was a place people go to be comfortable being themselves because "Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit" lol

So we do make to the restaurants often (or we did anyway this past trip), and each experience is different.

As far as the attire, Elyse is pretty much all done up and in a dress. I normally wear a long sleeve button down shirt with the sleeves rolled up, or a collared short sleeve. There have been times that I have worn a nice fitting solid color v-neck tee, or plain black tee, but they are nice looking, and not like a causal tee shirt I would wear during the day. Sometimes I wear dress shorts, sometimes I wear linen pants. If I wear shorts, I will normally have on nice sneakers(not athletic sneakers, but causal shoes). If I wear linen pants, I wear flip flips. (I am not bringing work dress shoes on vacation, period). Also, I am generally wearing a nice watch. Pairing some of these things together makes them appropriate, but I would never wear the tee shirt, shorts, and flip flops together. If you have sense of style you know what's what. Now I have seen many others not dressed up at all. I question why they are allowed in, but I couldn't really care less. I guess my initial reaction is "O look this dude didn't have to get dressed, but I did, wtf!" But then I just look across the table and see Elyse all dressed up, so I would feel pretty stupid if we wasn't on the same page as her.

As far as the behavior, loudness, and rowdiness of others. I have seen this go many ways as well, and I have been in many different situations. Group dinners can get the loudest, especially if everyone is doing shots. I think this is fine, and why we are all there. I am going to have fun at dinner. Sometimes this gets louder then it probably should, but you can usually figure out if it is bothering others or not. I might say "sorry if we are a little loud, it's our last dinner together", and most of the times people say "We don't care, go for it". I have been out at times and the entire restaurant is loud and having fun. Other times(especially in the Asian) is it is bit quieter, and it is a dinner with Elyse and I. She does curse often, and I just try to reminder her to keep it down, and I am sure she does the same to me on nights I may have crushed it at the pool all day :) The key is just to be able to assess your environment and adjust accordingly. Respect for others is key.

I also do not believe it is out of line for another table to politely say "Hey guys, you are a bit loud. Could you please keep it down a bit". No problems at all there, just be nice about it and I am sure people will try to be more respectful and quiet down. We both paid to be there, and I am in know way going to push my agenda on you, the same way you shouldn't push yours on me. The people that have problems are the rude stick in the mud people that won't say or do anything, but just sit there and pout and hate on you. I don't get that behavior. If I am not being super observant reading every facial expression you are making, then how will I ever know you aren't happy. I believe those types of people cause their own problems.

And remember, not everyone wants to look like an escort when they go to eat some food. Some of our wives actually prefer to dress casual, and thus, the men follow suit. Here is a picture from a couple weeks ago after a decent meal at the Italian restaurant.

Interesting...So any lady that likes to dress up with heels and maybe a sexy dress looks like an escort?

Its a term from the 70,s or earlier when bars would not let women in. TheY would sometimes have a room beside the bar Labelled LADIES AND ESCORTS .

The term escort was used in that context , not the hooker one
