most days we went down to the beach layed out there and then came up to the sexy pool around 4 pm and took over one of the hot tubs for a few hours before dinner. Same thinking here is that there's the bar, also the quiet pool , hot tubs and chairs there , the beach.
This is our 8th trip and we have never not gotten a chair at the sexy pool....and we don't get up that early!! usually at pool around 9-10...if there are no chairs I drag one up from the beach...
Very true there Mike lol, as you know me and Les were always bloody up by 6am... aaahhhh tried so hard to sleep in.... We used to reserve 4 chairs and about 12 of us shared them. Always works well. You never use the chair yourself all day but someone in your group will usually be on them. Lynfa x
Thanks for comments I feel better now. Besides, I just want to have fun and be near the action. I expect the new puppies will help me out. Whoops what about my hubby. Oh well, his problem.
When are you planning to go? My friend and I will be there in September. You are more than welcome to share our chair/chairs. We always have used one for sitting(or passing out - quiet friends!! lol) and used the other to put our things on until we see someone looking for a chair. Or we just share with other friends we have met along the way. Hardly ever do we use the chairs, but like to have our things in plain view to keep an eye on them. If anything - just ask someone if they mind that you put your bag by their chair. I highly doubt you will find anyone that tells you no. If you do - they are not true TTR family.
Hi, I think we can do the booking for the chair very close to the pool in the very early morning. There lies the real beauty of the pool. Where we can see the different colors, that give the coolness to our eyes as well to our heart.
you know, My wife and i have been to TTR 13 times since 2000. i dont think i have ever posted a negative comment on this board. But i do have to say that one day when we went down to the pool (there were four of us) we had a hard time finding 1 chair that wasnt taken. As usually happens a couple that we knew said just put your guys stuff on our chairs and we did as we spend most of the time in the pool anyway. the reason for this post is that because of the situation(and being a little moody/hungover) i gave more than a little notice to all the chairs that were empty with towels draped on them. there were even quite a few that had tshirts over the back of the chairs. i know we didnt get out to the pool until 11ish but these chairs were never sat upon all day until we left the pool at 6ish. in fact one pair of chairs that had a tshirts were still there after we went to the room showered and went to the buffet to eat. all i got to say is "come on, dont reserve chairs just to reserve chairs" if your gonna come and go (like we do) do u really need two chairs to guard your sunblock/flipflops???:aktion060: END RANT!! whew that wore me out. i need to go have a cocktail and think about how much fun i had and am gonna have next year!!:mnm:
You are so right, we always try to be considerate to others, ppl can just be selfish and not think! There's a small c/o hotel down here that will give your chair away if you havent been on it in 2 hours...much smaller scale of course as theres not someone to monitor this at TTR w/ all the 100's of guests....
I bought some of those mesh folding pool chairs to bring. They fold up in circles and now I won't have to deal with with getting up at the crack of dawn for a chair......also bringing a pool bag...for the towels, sunscreen and Ipod....I will just keep this by me as I sit in my floating chair nice and cool in the pool!!!!
