Thanks! Hope others get a chance to post pics of the progress of the "sample" rooms.

I noticed how the rooms are facing more of an angle to view the ocean better on the quite pool side. This probably explains why these are just demo rooms for the owners to look at.
They won't have plumbing or electrical, just being built to show what the end result will look like before they invest a massive amount of money.
They will almost definitely have to build new rooms before they start a remodel. I can see them putting patrons in the new rooms once they're built and remodeling the same number of rooms until they're done.
They couldn't take a hit on their financials to shut the place down or even a partial shut down. I heard they sold a block of time shares years ago to a group and they ALL take they're time shares at the same time
each year so the resort takes a HUGE hit financially every year when they come in. A place like this operates on a specific amount of overhead and any deviations could ruin them.

I'm a little worried the price of the hotel will go up if they add all of that stuff to the rooms. So I'm just going to continue bringing my own, swing, lube, video cam, toys, power tools, sybian, hand holds, theater seats, porn, viagra, floggers, whips, chains, paddles, condom dispenser, febreeze, trap door and of course my own fluffer.

We leave today! I took some pics to post in here but I haven't uploaded them to any sites yet and it's not letting me upload an image so I can't.

We saw some really cool stuff going on like large walls of purple glass, cool light fixtures, granite slabs. I went upstairs to see if I could look around but I was shooed away lol.

We were told during our presentation that the renos are going to be 26 million - And yes the costs are going up but not until 2017 supposedly. The renovations will be done in parts. Sounds like it will be really nice!

There is another thread about this too, and here is our post in that thread from a little over a week ago. I also have several detail pics of all of the work (masonary, electrical, plumbing, balcony views, etc) I posted in a folder under our profile you can check out.

There has been speculation that the rooms being constructed on top of the middle building are some sort of temporary "show room". I always doubted that because in two decades of construction engineering experience I have never seen that. That being said, I climbed up on the roof and took a look for myself. Here is what I learned....

These rooms will be fully functional. They have all electrical, plumbing, and heating and cooling hookups. This is FAR more than a temporary build, and the stairway has been extended as well. The entry doors and balcony to the west have a nice view as shown and I like the wave-like concrete work. The view to the east overlooks the quiet pool and each room has an excellent view of the ocean as well since they are set at an angle.

I am of the opinion that the construction has already started, although only in a small way. There are also numerous survey marks around the pool decks, and the walks between buildings. I am thinking that the plan is to renovate one portion at a time, with additional floors only in select areas, and to remain open during construction. At some point this will mean a pool closure, but that could be accomplished by shifting guests to one of the other pools for a short time. One thing is certain, the rooms being built are very nice, they are meant to be used, and there will likely be more of them.
