Remind me again... Do we need to pack pants for the nicer restaurants?

This will be our 9th trip and I would say for us the last 5 yrs they have followed the no shorts or sandles. I think Asian and Italian you need some kind of long pants. We have gotten away with jeans and closed shoes with a nice polo type shirt. I know some people like this but I just think nice shorts and no flip flops are fine! Come on people we are on vacation!

 

Guys your women are getting all dressed up for you,, a lot wear nice dresses ,, the least you can do is wear a pair of dress pants so you look like her date and not the Valet dude.

 

They used to not let us in in kilts, even though our legs didn't show. Now we walk in, in our kilts with a pair of slacks in our hands and they just shake their heads. I think a lot of it is knowing the waiters and staff year after year. Treat them good and the next year they treat you good.
