Recent Death at Oasis Cancun last sunday?

Such a very very sad story.....could happen to any of us or our loved ones please remember to be careful even when on vacation.

 

My guess is that some editor at quequi got a little confused when they read 1730 (5.30pm) in a police report and instead of asking around, decided it was a typo and took the one off the front, making it 7.30am.

 

Yeah gets a little hard to get thec correct details when you have to translate

 

4 pm

The tragic incident occured at 4 pm. I didn't smell alcohol or see blood from the nose.

If I was wanting information, I'd be looking for a 100% bilingual friend who could take a holiday at the hotel and do some discrete chatting up of the poolside staff.

That, and locating guests that were there.

The girlfriend's account of being up in the room taking a nap when it happened doesn't match the "official" account of her being with him at the time (at least as reported in the paper), but that's not to say her's isn't the correct account.

 

I was leaving the Oasis that afternoon as the ambulances were coming into the hotel.

How sad this is...
