Hey Les/Lynfa our last name is NEWBY so i got to say you need to be careful how you address people cause some might find that very offensive!!!!!!!!!!! BUT WE ARE NOT THOSE PEOPLE so let enjoy and get the party kicked up for rob and T and becky and cliff and april and hillbilly and Tmac and Kat and all the people we have yet to meet that will be joining us for what may be the "EPIC" trip...
I will go with no 2..........alot of people are more outgoing in type but meet them and they are shy. Either way I enjoy meeting all of you and if your shy ............shooters definitely help.
omg too funny, Newby is a huge English name - my dad was a fisherman and worked with a whole bunch of Newby's lol. Let's Party....................so cannot wait for this trip. See you all next week xo
Real people! Well I know I am real I shaved this AM in the mirror! 24 days and counting! OMG I cant wait! See all you party people by the pool! Tom & Aggie (may 16-23)
well i'm a bit shy in person than on this forum till I get to know people a bit and hang out... on the other hand , alcohol makes me either less reserved if i'm comfortable or it shuts me up completely, just depends on if i'm tired and just want to crash or if i'm having a good time and don't want it to stop... gotta find that balance I guess ! -Mark
another funny thing I was thinking of was everyone's accent. Is it like you thought it was when you read from the site and then meet them? I'll get it out of the way , eh, aboot, doot, haha , I'm Canadian but at work my territory is Boston/NH/VT so I'm careful of my Canadian dialect and make sure I pahk maa caa in the yaaad !
You will catch Glenn saying eh. It drives me nuts so no you will not hear it from me unless the tequilla has me by the gounch and is giving me a wedgy.
I've found that for the most part, everyone is the same in real life as they are here on the Board. Most of the difference is that people are more shy in person. I have noticed that sometimes some folks change a bit depending on the crowd they are with at the time but when switching crowds go back to normal. As for us, Chris is the more quite one but when you get talking to her you can spend the whole night in the conversation. For me, I understand that people either really like me or hate me. I come across as bossy sometimes in person but it's just my overridding need that people around me are having a good time. Can't help it. But I have hard conversations with some of the folks that used to hate me and we're good buds now.. so go figure. So hopefully you find me in person like you find me here.... that is if you like me here... :wink3: Jamie Jamie
I joined a week before we left. I found about 6 couples from the board. I have not been there for 5 years after going 8 times in 2 years. People seen a lot more friendly now. Also im 40 and i dont keep to myself anymore. im a lot more outgoing than i was 5 years ago.
