Has anyone ever seen anything at the airport or at customs that points you to that site as the official Mexican government site? It just has a funny smell to me. The way the site collects your information in a form rather than a PDF just reminds me of a phishing scam. Plus, the site is way too pretty to be an actual government website.
I have saying the same thing. The Official site is Instituto Nacional de Migración - Forma Migratoria Múltiple I cannot see a motivation for creating a site to collect this information other than someone trying to get all of your personal information, passport details and date of your trip. Possibly to sell you other services, but it is very shady. Looking at the domain owner, they are using Domains By Proxy (Godaddy) to hide their identity, anytime I see anyone asking I tell them to use the official site.
The cards are filled out on the airplane before landing and then hand came iced by you to get thru customs. And then again on the way back if declarations are being made. The airline and flight numbers need to be listed, etc.
It does work and is accepted. We did this on our last trip and had no issues. I know it looks a bit sketchy but it's legit.
The cards aren’t as readily available as before. Some flights haven’t had any lately meaning you’re filling it out while in line.
Have you had any strange calls from ICE letting you know that your cousin Juan is using you as a reference on his immigration paperwork? Seriously though, thank you for the reply. It is nice to know that it actually worked when you got to the booth at the airport.
