Went up there a few times over the years, as our room was almost always in the old 5000's. As I recall we attended an HnH group event there about 5 years ago. Many used it for playroom and photo shoots. Does anyone know what it is now? I wondered up there right after the reno in October and it was still under construction, but I could see that they were enclosing it and built a hallway around the edge and connected it to the bathrooms. Couldn't tell what they planned to do with the rest of the space, maybe offices. I know that the "conference room" was set up for weddings a few time we wondered through there to use the bathroom. Our room was right across from the old entrance a few weeks ago and it looked like construction was completed. There is now a locked door there so I couldn't get access, so I couldn't tell what they actually did with that space.
I used the bathroom and shaved over there 1 night 3 weeks ago. Our room was literally 40 steps from there. It is all just a conference center now One large room and a few smaller meeting rooms. When a business contingent (e.g. Expedia or RCI or travel agents) visit TTR, they use the smaller meeting rooms. The larger room is for events like weddings.
Thanks for the info. For some reason, meeting rooms just don't sound as fun. I'm guessing that if a group wants to rent some party space they can get the sky bar now.
Years ago we had a toy exchange in the Cigar Lounge. The door was unlocked so we just went in. After about a dozen of us walked in a gentleman asked us what we were doing. The organizer told them. There were 4 men very well dressed. All Hispanic. They opened their bar for us and they we're extremely welcoming. We sat at the other end of the room from then. After about 45 mins one of them....a very distinguised looking man came over.........complimented the ladies and told us to enjoy the room. WE DID!
