I know this is kind of an odd question, but, my husband and I would like to find a place to go dancing that caters a bit more toward the ballroom crowd, or at least a latin place that isn't crammed with people and loud. We like to dance, but, are not really looking for the wild atmosphere that it seems nearly every dance place offers.

I thought I remembered that Bogart's used to have dancing like that, but, it doesn't say anything about dancing now.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Cancun INN Bistro El Patio, which is downtown (Bonampak 51 , esquina Cereza , Supermanzana 2A - on the corner of CEREZA AND BONAMPAK, two blocks from the Radisson), has slow dancing & romatic music nights on Fri and Sat.

Well, El Patio must be the quietest dance place on the planet, because I live on Cereza, and didn't even know there was a bistro on the corner!

    Is it gone now?
(In Cancun this could easily be the case at any given moment)

Their website is still up. :?

Actually, they have TWO websites with virtually the same info, except one is better maintained than the other. I suppose I will post the links to these in another thread just in case. Good to have this info available for those asking around.

Drewbert, you should get out more. There are lots of things to do in Cancun.

Ah. We're on the entrance side of the Cereza loop. That hotel is on the exit corner. So whenever I drive past it, I'm looking for a gap in the traffic.

I didn't realise it was a hotel, saw "suites" and thought it was a condo.

But yes, I need to get out more. I think I might go to Myplace on Thursday :^)

Hey hey hey Drewbert. Any night but Thursday. But be sure to make a nice contribution to a worthy cause.
