My chair has been stolen twice. I need to build up a supply of towel cards. Do you just pick up the towels that are left out at the end of the day or did you steal my towel?
I know there is a sticky for it, but I wanted to bring it back to life and get some new tips and ideas as thing change and we learn new things. I have already learned new things. Hear is one that may be just me. Bring different lotions or perfumes than you normally use, then when you get home stop useing it. Six months later try using it again and watch how the smell takes you back to the good times. Melissa thinks I'm wierd but I do it.
I just remebered keep you suit case closed. Last year we left it open and with the high humidity are clothes became damp. If you hang them up put a trash bag over them.
OK I'm kind of stealing this one from another post. I'm going to make a business card to put our name phone number and email address on so it is easier to exchange info with people, and I'm going to put our picture on it so when people get home they know who it is. Sometimes you get home and you have alot of people info and it isn't always easy to remember who is who. Plus my name is really common there are lots of michaels in this world.
Having your chair stolen really pisses Annette off. Some gal took ours one day on our last trip while we were at lunch, and was giving Annette a rough time about being gone for two hours. We have gained a couple of extra towel cards by picking up a towel or two at the end of the day, or by begging for a towel without a card and then finding ours later in the day. We have lost a towel or two and have had to use one of the extra cards. Losing your towel usually comes about the same time as someone stealing your chair.
If everyone simply used the chair when you are actually at the pool and gave it up when you're not there, more people would get chairs. All of this chair-saving BS is one reason I don't even bother with the pool because people's selfishness is too much to bear. If you are gone for 2 hours, someone else should be able to use that chair. I think the resort should constantly remove towels/items from chairs without owners to keep chairs free. Once people realize they can't hog the chairs this way and they risk losing their stuff, maybe it would stop.
So if I get in the pool I should pick up my stuff and let someone else have my chair? What would I do with my stuff while I'm in the pool? Where would I go to sit down when I'm done in the pool? If I haven't been in the chair for two hours that doesn't mean I'm not at the pool or that I can't see my chair. This is the reason many chairs are taken. It is a staging area for my things I need by the pool but don't or can't have in the pool with me. Now if we leave to go eat we will get our stuff up and let someone else have. But, I don't see any of this as selfish by me or anyone else that does this.
I'm with you on this one Mike!!! There are times I'm in the pool for a couple of hours. I surely want to have a chair for me and Lori's stuff. Usually we give up one of our chairs in the afternoon. We know people are coming from the day trips and can use it. But I really hate when peole just move your stuff. A couple of years ago my friend Doug had his money with him in a back pack. We were having such a good time we didn't even notice someone get in his bag and take it!!!!
