As alcohol was our most consumed substance while we were there, we tipped our bartenders very well - Johnny at the Paty'O was amazing! We werent there more than 20 minutes & he knew us by name & drink. The days that we actually had our room made up (which were few, on account of us sleeping in) We usually left anywhere from $1-5 for the maids. Other than that - we never ate at any of the fancier restaurants, only the buffets, where we rarely tipped, unless we stayed for more than a few drinks, in which case we would leave a dollar or 2.
ahh the price of an all inclusive , don't get me wrong I tip too but often forget that it's going to cost an extra few hundred until you see everyone's break down ... the denominations of what to bring is very helpful too. Thanks everyone. PS maybe I'll bring down a Toronto Blue Jays hat ... only thing is they're so damn ugly and they can't settle on 1 logo !!!
Along with tipping throughout the holiday we changed £40 of £ coins for notes as we were leaving. The bellboy was over the moon!
Just got back last night, I took 75 in ones U.S. and they were gone my second day. The thing is the place is immaculate and the staff are always cheerfull and ready to please. I tipped everyone until I ran out of ones but most of the folks (bartenders) are to busy to notice so don't expect bad service if you don't tip. great trip, great time, nuff said!
