Thank you guys for all of your wisdom! We aren't picky, but just wanted to make sure that not upgrading wouldn't be detrimental to our trip. The only thing we're grappling with now is Covid and whether it's worth the risk. Thanks again for all of the replies and hope to see some you there in the somewhat near future!
I am looking into bringing another male with us on our trip... tower rooms have max occupancy of 2 adults, so I'm thinking just to get one of the rooms that allow 3 adults. but we all want to share a bed so i guess that will have to be decided at check in whether or not we do the double beds or one king size. does anyone have any info that can shed light on my situation..? Is the resort flexible when it comes to max occupancy..?
Chris&Ann, while there are perks to being a Premier member - we've been to Temptation 10+ times and have never purchased a membership.. need I say more? Enjoy your trip
Another couple questions if any one can shed some light. - Is it better to have USD or should we exchange them for Pesos? I've read they accept either just wanted to know which is easier. -What's not included in "all inclusive" ? I've read room service is extra but wondering what else is not included if your not staying at the Tower. - Can we bring reusable drink cups? If so any restrictions? Thanks in advance lovelies!
I like to tip in pesos because the 50s and 20s are waterproof and I don't have to worry about them ripping. Nice to be able to just have them in the pool and not worry about ripping especially after some drinking. Also can dry them off easily when switching back to normal clothes at night.
We tip in US dollars. I think most from US do. If you get them wet the bartenders just set the bills in the sun for a few minutes to dry out. They have a system. I tried to tip in pesos once but the exchange was a hassle, and had a feeling of being ripped off. I usually have several wet bills drying out at the end of the day. Tipping is however you want to do it. Some give a larger bill up front, others tip for every drink or round, some do both, some at the end, some don't tip at all. I try and start sexy pool time with about $20 in my pocket and some reserve in our beach bag. Tipping a big bill up front can be effective, if you get to know your bartender...all you have to do is give him the look and your preferred drink is coming. Not included, for non-members: room service (non-tower is $5), special bottles of wine, some fancy supper selections, special seating/bottle service (a whole new new thread), expanded porn channels (for non-tower), spa services, transfers. We can usually make it through the trip with tips being the only extra expenses. Sometimes we make a purchase at the store. Thinking about trying a spa day. Many people bring insulated cups. No restrictions, but might want a cover on it (keep sexy pool "water" out of it). Many also bring a bottle or two of their favorite liquor.
We tip at the end of the trip. Getting to know the staff and letting them know how you appreciate their attention is the key to a fun filled experience.
It's really best to have a mix. USD for anything priced in USD, like tours, transfers, nightclubs etc. Pesos for anything priced in Pesos like the gift shop, pharmacy, convenience store, taxi, bus etc. If something is priced in one currency and you pay with the other you are guaranteed to get a poor rate, sometimes as much as 20% difference. Tips can be either. But, providing it's equivalent value, Pesos are much more useful to the staff and avoid them having to exchange. All the things they have to pay for in their day to day lives are priced in Pesos
