I think you might be talking about the Imperial Laguna Hotel.

It is on the beach. It's a budget hotel so I think you'd find a lot of 19 yr olds at that place.

    The Real Cancun

I just got finished watching the movie "The Real Cancun." I think there was this hotel that the 16 Spring breakers were staying in called something Boccara or something...It looked like a nice place, kinda like a beach house style hotel...

Do you all think that this type of place would be more appropriate or is it too pricey? Oh by the way, I put in for my passport today! :)

"The Real Cancun" was filmed at the Avalon Baccara.

It's a very small boutique hotel that is set in a mansion that was later converted into a luxury resort. It is not all inclusive so it could make your trip quite pricey as food and drink are not cheap in cancun.

The hotel itself is very small..only about 27 rooms.

Guests can use the amentites at the Avalon Grandlocated next door as well as the Avalon Reef Club that is located over on Isla Mujueres.

I think their sister hotel 'Imperial Las Perlas' is on the beach. I'm almost positive that Imperial Laguna (which student city does use) is on the lagoon, just down a side street from the Grand Royal Lagoon where I stayed in 2006).

Dennsi is correct..it is on the beach but I guess I should have made it clear that it is on the beach lagoon side.

For a better point of reference, it is located down a side street of Blvd Kukulcan at Km 7 near the Hotel Presidente Inter-Continental.
