i dont know bout the rest of ya but if i only relied on my debit card and lost it i would be screwed. i dont have a back up card, credit card or whatever. so if i lost it on my first day i would have no means of getting money out?? i think thats what d2k kinda sayin...
They shouldn't give you a hard time...As long as the research comes back that you didn't sign any of the recipts for the items you are disputing, you should get credited back within 10 business days....
I usually do half travel checks and half cash! Usually only take about 1000 down, which is plenty since my hotel, flight, food, drinks, and clubs are already paid for!
Dollars mate I always take dollars, very simple and you are given change in pesos anyway so you get enough change for little things like buses etc! The locals seem to prefer tips in dollars too!
