brummie girl here! lived in peterborough for ages though til recently. AND i dont have that horrid accent! anyway, might wanna unhijack this thread... cancun cancun cancun...
From my experience from working at a bank a couple years ago, its mostly older ppl who get the cheques......or a student going oversea's.... E. =0)
Every single time. Everyone i know uses them 2. They dont cost me any extra and are a lot more secure then cash so for that reason i get them.
I think bringing your debit card is just as secure. If you lose it just cancel it and use your back-up credit card. And if there is fraud on the card, just dispute the charges and your bank will reimburse you. I always bring my debit card while traveling, I've never had an issue---yet!
yep, I bring a good amount of cash and keep what I dont use in my suitcase hidden, but have a debit just incase I need to get some more money out!
The only thing with that is well with my bank. 1. I get charged every time i do a transaction abroad. 2. If i loose my card im *****. I do normally take my card as a backup plan. *** Mod Edit - Illegal Use Of the F Word - Waste *** Now to change all the quotes below...
i always take travellers cheques when i go anywhere but never did take them to cancun for some reason. always have my cash and my debit card, although the bank charges a shit load to withdraw cash over there.
No you're not, just dispute the charges on the card and you would be reimbursed if you see any unauthorized charges....
