We agree with you totally on Vegas. The first time we went to LV we went on a business conference and stayed 9 days! YIKES! Get us the hell out of here! TTR is never long enough. We have met different couples who only go for a few days and we could never understand that! Not long enough!
The first time we went 6 days, the second, 7 days, this upcoming the trip will be 8. As much as we love TTR we do start to miss the kids. When they leave the house, which isn't too far away, I am sure it will be 10 days... Twice a year
Our first trip was in April of this year. We stayed for 7 days and found that it wasn't long enough. We met up with an amazing group of people, April Addicts, and found that by the time we had to leave we were really having fun and just started to get to know everyone. Plus you kind of miss out on two if not three theme nights. Usually the first night you get there you're jet lagged and don't want to party too hard. And the night before you leave you don't want to go too hard as the flight home could really suck. Then the day you leave you miss out on. So we say do the 10 day min trip and partake in all the activities. If you're lucky to meet up with such a great crowd like the April Addicts, you'll understand what we are saying. It also gives you time head into town and enjoy the area without missing out on too much at the resort.
Last trip we did 10 nights, found that to be about right. Our other previous trips had been for7 nights and always seemed over to soon. This April will be 8 but wish it was 10 -12. I'm sure you starting to see the trend here, I to can never figure out how one does 3-4 days.
First time we went, we stayed for 5 days. We decided that wasn't long enough so these last two trips have been for seven days. We are looking to book for at least 10 days the next time. Just have to remember to pace yourself when you are drinking. We have made the mistake of getting too drunk the first couple of days and ended up spending one of the next days our room hung over.
Six nights should be the minimum stay at Temptation. You should shoot for seven nights, and if you can afford it, stay longer than that (ten nights seems like a good number if you can't swing a full two weeks). We have increased our total nights every time we go, and would stay much longer if money were no object. Heck, we wish we could just live at Temptation 365, 24/7. :aktion033:
I started out with 9, then 12, then 15 and now last year and this year am doing 17. 17 seems to be enough to completly enjoy myself, have a day or two off as a rest/sick day and leave drained enough that I got a full vacation out of it without feeling like I missed too much or am leaving too soon.
Our first trip, 2 years ago, we only went for 7 days as we didn't know what to expect. After the first night there, we were kicking ourselves for not booking a longer stay. Last May we were there for 15 days, and that was perfect for us. It gave us time to meet new people and make some great new friends as well as see some of the contest and have an entire week to try some of them. This upcoming May we are booked for 15 days again and are getting married at TTR this time around. I would honestly suggest a stay of no less than 10 days to anyone, if it is manageable for them. It gives you three days to get the feel of the place and the people and then 7 more days to have the best vacation ever.
A week at TTR is definitely too long unless your work/family schedules don't allow. I don't think we could do anything over 7-10 days, but that is just us. Most of our trips are five days, but we usually visit TTR at least three times per year. Avoid the three day weekend trips during the winter. It is pretty easy for a bad weather day or two to wipe out your trip completely with the very short trips.
