Just grab a cab @ the airport. We've used private transfers; shuttle and even rented cars in Cancun. We now just use a cab.
Cabs from the airport are marketed up enough that the reliable transfer on this site is WAY worth it!
I'll also chime in on how awesome USA Transfers is! I went from Touch down to pool in just about an hour! Crazy! Besides - always good to book something through this site and support Steve. Steve kicks ass.
Last year was the first time in 5 years that we had to wait about 45 minutes for the USA transfer cab to get there. It was one driver and they kept calling him. He would tell them he would be there in 2 minutes on every call. The guys were pissed. Maybe he is not there this year. I think that is pretty good luck. I have booked them again this year.
Marketed up? I don't know what that means. I've only used the cabs a dozen or so times. Each time, it's as cheap as the "transfer" services. Have you noticed how many cabs are there at the airport? Ask them their rate. If you don't like it (never happened)....ask another one. I don't know Steve. And, I have nothing against the transfer service he represents. Just giving my experience.

Fine. IF I were going to use a transfer service, I'd use Steve's. I've said it already.....nothing personal. I don't know Steve and had no idea he had an affiliation when I posted what I did. We've been to Cancun many times. Just telling it like it is.
Well we went with USA Transfers but they are still saying it will be the extra $30.00 even for a 5 minute stop at a small store. I cannot see paying $30.00 for an hour trip to wal-mart when all I need is 5 minutes. When we get in the car with the driver I am just going to ask him nicely to make a quick stop for an extra tip and see if that works.
Not sure what you want to buy, but you could probably pick up most booze at the airport BEFORE you get into your transfer to the hotel.
We use Transbeach and have the past several years. I am thinking we may pay a little more for a private shuttle, but it is well worth it and if we want a stop they will do it even though we have not ask in a while since we just want to get to the hotel. They have always been very prompt and courteous. I am sitting here knocking on wood(my head) as I say this because I have a way of giving myself bad luck when I open my mouth.
