Donald that is exactly true..its the all inclusive rates that change not the room rate..I was under the impression that they can only jump so much per year though so Ill have to check that out..
That prices always go up. If the US didn't print money like a drunken sailor, our dollar might be stronger ==== lower prices.
Ok all the time you are probably right. But inflation usually dictates higher prices from year to year, and demand and what not like you said also has a play. Thing is prices at these hotels are dicatated by the American economy or travelers and no where else for the most part. Inflation has been on a constant rise for years. And if you were to look at historic prices in any 5-10 year period you could probably pick out prices that were cheaper or the same, but I would more often then not they probably rise from year to year. But if you are booking through a second or third party there are also factors that you are not thinking of. If orbitz is alloted 10 slots a year and they book them easily why go cheaper etc.
This year the hotel was 100% full almost all the time from Feb through to mid June. With reduced capacity due to the renovations, they have fewer rooms to fill and can probably still fill the hotel to 100% even at an increased price. If their forecasts suggest that not to be the case then you could reasonably expect prices to drop in the New Year.
