I talked to my brother in law today who is pretty high up in the Wahl Clipper organization. They employ over 1500, and stopped production for at least two week, and it cost them a little over $1,000,000 a month for payroll alone.

I can see why a corporation like that could use some “bailout” money. It’s not their fault the government made them do this.

Did not help us a bit.
But does help my Son and Daughter.
But so far we are all still working based on our professions.
The pork is just BS and I think a revolt may be brewing, slowly but surely.
Maybe in the next 100-200 years...lol.

Hey, pimps, madams, and hoes are keeping buzy, buzy, buzy.
Social distancing just does not cut it in these vocations;)

Our employees will be collecting unemployment with a $600 a week bump through Jul.31. That is more money than what they make working. No insensitive to return to work sooner. The small business loan, grant applies only if I provide employees payroll for 8 weeks. With no employees makes sorts of unless.

Thanks! I'd not run across one of those yet... but I don't read the paper, either. I get depressed enough doing what I do at work. It's fun to ignore the outside world except for Best Buns & Wet T-Shirt contests, gotta tell ya...

My office runs as a small s-corp, and I'm going to have to use the bill to obtain a SBA loan (that's apparently how that part of the thing is going to work) so as to be able to pay my employees (Stacia & I), to keep everything afloat.

I figure that I'll do what they'll allow, set aside and hoard it like it's toilet paper and if/when we can get back to normal what's left i'll slide back to them as a lump sum re-payment. Of course, there'll be an interest charge, but that's a small price to pay (literally) to borrow everyone's money (well, not Canadians. I don't need y'all's money [I love typing out that word... the only word in the English language that I know of that uses not one, but TWO apostrophes.]]).

Great thread so far everybody. I give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 Stars.

Meredith and I own a chocolate company and although we lost alot of business the grocery stores are keeping us afloat. We have considered a sba loan though.

Great idea. We booked the Tower with direct flights from Houston. Super cheap now. Of course it’s in July and we’re hoping we’re in the safe zone now.

Wish I could use the check for another vacation :) But I guess that wouldn't be the point of it. (Especially spending it in another country...but do whatever you want with it, you will hear nothing from me :) )

But sadly my family of 3 won't be getting a dime. It's stupid they don't adjust for location. The salary to living expense outside a major city on the East or West coast, isn't the same as many other areas of the country.
