We got $100 USD cash. Was it worth losing 3 hrs of our vacation time? Hell no! Even after they took off 90% of their initial quote, we still said no.
just to clarify, you are saying you got a free weeks stay at the hotel for simply attending the presentation and NOT buying in?
our trip before last they wanted to try to upsell us .. so .we went got 100 bucks .. took all of 30 mins maybe for us to say no thanks ..and double check that we actually had price match on our paperwork and we were gone .. gave the 100 to the waitresses at bash hehe
We received $100 cash, It was nice to see some of the resort that we have not seen. But the sales pitch gets pretty aggressive at the end. No hard feeling for us we did not buy and I know they are doing a job. on a side note they were shocked at what we payed for our vacation and knew the exact amount..
We were offered 3 nights at Desire but had to decline because we brought another couple with us to TTR and didn't want to separate from them.
If you look above, they noted that they bought in. As far as I know, 1 or more free weeks (depending on the size of the contract you buy) are part of almost every contract. Thus, it is not clear to me that they received anything special for attending the presentation. It certainly is possible they negotiated for an extra week as part of their deal. But the OP was asking about perks received for attending the presentation whether or not one ended up buying in. I don't think that the free week fits that criteria.
