Our latest contract from Nov 2013 had our 2014 low season rates at $125 / night and high season at $163 / night. And we have been upgraded to a Jacuzzi room on the last trips... so it working for us as long as we keep up a good TTR vacation frequency / schedule.
we have finally had a response from them. according to them the rates are going up because of four things. 1. price of gas 2. Vat rate 3. tourism increase 4. cost of supplies. We still feel its a load of BS lol
Lol. Price of gas. They are basically providing a form response that has been in place for years and have no clue that the price of gas should actually result in lower rates ha
I think they are just quoting the components of the inflation index which is what is "supposed" to justify the pricing increases. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We understand and paid our timeshare off, the reality is there will always be a cost. If you buy into a condo time share, there are maintenance fees and costs always increase . We bought not to just stay there but use RCI for other vacations. We are not fanatic's about TTR and do other trips or cruises, Europe and other places.
Question. We just got back from the resort. Had a great time (will post trip report later). We were told when we checked in and they tried to push us to meet with the Premier sales person that they were no longer doing timeshares and had totally changed the program this year. We didn't feel inclined to sit through a sales pitch, but curious if anyone knows what they have changed?
Even as members they gave us this line and we got suckered into going. Nothing had changed and they just wanted us to buy more weeks. I doubt anything has changed, it's just their way of trying to make it sound better.
They need to sell and they will say and do anything for commission, as someone mentioned above they can say whatever but your contract is what you get and even then (I think) they have enough power (being Mexico and all) to play around with your contract and get more ransom money later from you. I think it's a brilliant scheme for the owners but not as good for the buyers (that does not mean it won't be beneficial maybe, you have a fool proof plan and it works in your favor) but for me I m not that smart and when it comes to money I just like to spend and with my 12 hour days at work, I do not know how to make money else where.
