I cannot answer that. It is all a negotiation and probably can change to get the cash out of your hand! It is timeshare sales. We purchased ours second hand and have never sat through the sales pitch ourselves in 6 trips. They keep trying and I keep say no (very politely of course).
I see. Just curious, if you don't mind sharing... how much does yours work out to on a per/day basis? I guess I would need to decide how much I would be willing to pay for the benefits beforehand and not getting pressured into paying more! But realistically, its probably not for me as I don't have thousands to pay up front, nor do I want to commit to hundreds of nights. Would be nice if they offered a pay per/trip bracelet upgrade option!
Last November we were offered (after saying no to everything else) by one of those closers that comes in after the main sellers where they present that only this person has access to ... a ‘special limited time package’ that was basically 25 nights in garden view room with premier benefits. The cost was outrageous. Like over $100 more per night than what you could get at that point on any number of sites. Their argument was that the benefits are worth it and plus you get locked in to coming 25 more nights (which isn’t a logical benefit when you can go if you wish anyway).
I prefer not to discuss details here so PM me if truly interested. Best for you to go on a referral and sit through the presentation to learn for yourself. But in general it depends on room type in contract as to nightly price. Also if it is high or low season which is dictated by TTR. I believe high season is now April-Nov and is about $50 more per night. Price also depends on when contract was purchased, type of room (there are several) number of nights purchased, and how well you negotiated the rate. It also typically climbs by at least the MX CPI (inflation rate) each year. But they reserve the right to change the room rate at any time.!
I would like to especially thank @Jen&Kyle, and many others, to opening our eyes to the deals sometimes available through third party sites. As I stated we found better deals for Feb and April since Premier did not offer a sale and the TTR sale was a sale that wasn’t!!! We will buy you both all the drinks you can drink the next time we see you at TTR (or Desire...probably heading there in the next year or so
Well we will likely see you at the beginning of your trip in April. And you can pay me back now by sharing what you used for April as I am seeing very few deals out there right now but have only been looking for 2 days. At this rate likely to be the most we pay for any stay. But I know to wait this out and the deals will hopefully come along so still hopeful. Maybe timing is bad looking right after the holiday sales but didn’t realize we were going until last Saturday Also I don’t think the two takeovers are helping the prices. Less rooms sold off to the discount sites.
I will get the details from the boss and PM you! It took her quite a while looking at the site recommended by others and playing with dates to get the best she could...but it was better than our Premier rate...same for Feb and it turns out for Halloween too. She is always planning and keeping me busy, busy, busy. I have a great wife....MWGA!
If someone is only looking for a limited number of Premier nights, it's definitely better just to go as a referral or as a Beneficiary as someone mentioned above (buying nights from a member's contract) But if you're looking to buy in, I don't think it's about the smallest package, so much about negotiating the one that's right for your situation. Over the years, I've ended up with a lot of nights on what would probably be considered a 'large' contract, but what really makes it pay off are the number of Referrals per year (as challenging as it can be to find and follow up on Referrals), the Flyback program (as fucking frustrating as it is to hassle them for your money back) and the 30% off price match guarantee (as annoying as it is providing proof to Premier). Between all those, I haven't paid more than $250 for a 10-14 day trip for 2 people, including our flights, in the past couple years. IF this keeps on for the course of my membership, and Lloydshare actually pans out and pays back the entire cost of the contract in 25 years, then it's really going to pay off.
Actually if you book 3rd party and want your black wrist band for your member benefits it does go against your days.
Actually if you book 3rd party and want your black wrist band for your member benefits it does go against your days.
That is NOT what we were told by Premier by atleast 2 different repsresebtatives whom have been spot on so far. Again consistent incositency! But thanks, Rayanne will check again today as we need to correspond with them today on another matter. She will also check our account. Of course the account may not update until nights are actually used, due to potential cancellation, etc. I will update here as a means of verification and so we do not spread snymore FAKE NEWS !!! Either way makes no real difference to us. Not sure I want to be going to TTR when we are 75 anyway!!! No one wants to see Snow balls! (that’s why I keep’em shaved now...lol)
