We just got back, and I'm only five foot, and I would honestly say a pool float really isn't worth the effort. I tried several different sorts while I was there, a hammock between two floaties, a foam noodle type of thing, and an inflatable raft, and none were really worth the effort. In fact, in the raft I felt removed for the party, and it kept drifting into people. I finally just resorted to using passers-by as personal Water Taxis, and while I could sometimes see the humor in that and enjoy the ride, at other times it was a major pain in the arse to just not be able to move freely in the pool without getting a mouthful of water.
Is that a giant Maxi Pad or what ! What were the designers thinking??? Sorry if to offend any of our ladies.
My wife is 5.4 I'm going to order my wife a pair of these. As a bonus she should be able to make it to the bar and back faster.
I actually looked at floats today and kept thinking it would isolate me from everyone and I found these but no clue how to fit them into my luggage hehe pool floats for multiple adults - Bing images
Has anyone tried or used/seen these kind of chairs in the pool?? One is inflatable the other I'd need to get a noodle for. (the chick in pic is just the girl in the ad for it and not me!) lol I'm short, and don't want to be holding my drink above my head all day nor bobbing around on my tiptoes, thought instead of a big cumbersome float getting in people's way this might work better?? Thoughts?? Plus I want some sun on the tata's and I can't get that if they're below water!!! LOL Thanks D
Side note of something that really bothered me while we were there. Three couples we were with went on the breakfast for the premier sales pitch. All three, separately, told different sales people how disappointed they were with the pool depth and how problematic it was. All three salespeople pretended like they were so surprised and had never heard this complaint before. If they would have just said, "yeah, sorry we keep hearing that and passing it on to management," it would have made me feel a lot better. Instead, it looks like there's no hope of that getting fixed. It wasn't just a matter of tatas being underwater and not being able to get any sun.. It was also getting that sketchy pool water in your mouth or splashed in your drink anytime someone passed by. Another issue is that for the short people who are trying to stay on the ledge, when the conversation would turn a different direction or the group would drift, I would find myself kind of left behind which became a major buzz kill.
