Playa Trip Report - Day 6 - Tuesday Woke to another sunny, beautiful day. :sunny: Breakfast at the buffet ... This morning Mike, Sheila and Christine were going kayaking with Luis and Rosario, so Norb and I walked down to the beach to take pictures. The beautiful beach at the Royal, always plenty of chairs and beds ... Bon Voyage, amigos! Norb and I walked along the beach ... We walked past the beach clubs ... If you're staying at a hotel in Playa that is not on the beach, you can rent a chair and an umbrella for the day at one of the beach clubs ... another beach club, (I think) ... We walked down to the Shangri La ... What a nice day! :sunny: I think Norb just wanted to wave at the webcam one more time ... We're walking faster than the kayaks are moving ... We turned around and walked back to the Royal ... At lunch time we went to Pelicanos, and had scallops and broccoli ... it was sooo good! Norb and I decided to go for a walk down 5th Avenue. I wanted to pick up a few souvenirs. A stop at the new Starbucks ... I saw this Mayan woman selling some things ... I bought a doll from her ... Her arms unsnap, and she has a baby ... When she's done breastfeeding, the baby is removable, she snaps off! ... I LOVE IT!!! :lol: :lol: :lol: Look at this little angel ... We walked down to the pier .... I had an ulterior motive. I was looking for the fireman, so I could buy a t-shirt for my son ... yep, a t-shirt for my son ..... that's my story and I'm sticking to it! He wasn't there ... :cry: :cry: :cry: So I had to console myself with some fresh pineapple from the fruit ladies ... Back to the Royal to lounge in the sun. We were soooooo thirsty ... We had dinner at Maria Marie's again tonight, and I think we ordered the same dinner as last time! Our waiter brought the dessert tray ... Good food and great service! The show tonight was the International Show. Who put that banana on my head ??? Luis ??? And at 10:30 we said goodnight. Tomorrow is our last full day ... let the crying begin :cry: :cry: :cry:
The sea kayaying looks fun !! You & Norb should have tried it. Love the fresh pineapple from the fruit carts. I get it all the time whenever I'm in PDC. Cute Doll....I remember seeing the same one posted on someone else's report.

Great Report. Your reports always make me think I don't EVERtake enough pictures when I am away. And especially of the neat littles things...I shall have to do that next Trip :lol:
