ok, straight from the horses mouth- if you have a sharing program, just notify them a few days before leaving and it's no extra charges, just like being in the US. If you are on another plan (like us for heavier data usage) they have 3 plans.....$30, $60 or $90....as you go up in price talk gets cheaper and data usage expands. The $30 plan is $1 per minute talk, unlimited text and a little data, as explained to us best to use for texting pics, but not e-mailing them....and they said NEVER download anything on these plans, it kills your limited free data. We added the Mexico plan online at no charge this year. Previous years it was $30 plus $1 a minute. Not sure why the change but not complaining!! If you want to send & receive text messages be sure you change the text setting to "Send as SMS" or you won't be able to send/receive iMessages. We were not charged receiving calls from the USA. We didn't have any charges on the bill for texts we made to the US or Canada.
