Pesos definately the way forward at present, 21.7661 pesos to the £ on travelex, was 21.82 yesterday its grown recently where as the $ to £ is a yoyo at present (due to the state of the US economy).
Ok, I got back yesterday. Yes pesos are the way to go for best exchange rate but If you are going to go clubbing with the hotels take dollars as everything is quoted in dollars and rounded up to pesos. Also for tips and taxis dollars can be useful as no-one ever seems to have any change for 100, 200 or 500 pesos!! I took all pesos and the rate was good but I certainly wish I had taken a bit in dollars as well.
