Could you guys please let me know which week will be peak-week this spring? It's always very hard digging this information out of the numerous forum threads here...
What makes the second week of March peak week? The third week has the most students off of school. Wouldn't that suggest the third week is peak week?
I think it always depends on where you get your sources, but generally the second week has the most students off. Almost every year the second week of march is peak week, but anytime after the first week in march, you really cant tell, there are always thousands of breakers in cancun up until april!!
Yeah I'm pretty sure the second or the third week are going to be crazy. Me and three of my buddies are going to book our tickets sometime next week. Our tickets including insurance are about $2000 for 1 week. It's not cheap, plus you need at least another hundred dollars a day for spending money.
back in 2007 I could see, that it _really_ does matter if it's the second or third week. While the first week was full of brakers and the MTV stage on the beach (WHY DID THEY MOVE THE STAGE TO THE POOL 2008?!) there was a _noticable_ sudden breakdown in the second week; the Hotel was nearly empty and occupied by elderies and families, no MTV stage anymore and no pool partys. Event downtown got more domestic people, bars became quite empty. Only the clubs were still staffed. Not to mention, that the CC Party is ofetn in the 2nd week. So it really does matter which week u take...
I was at Oasis from March 16-23 last year and it was totally packed. The American Eagle stage was by the pool though. I think it was because the beach was some what washed away. They were taking the stage down on our last day there and the AE dj's were just finishing. The 4th week would of sucked big time, there would of been no stage or dj's hyping everyone up and playing music.
One cool thing about the week of the 14th is that you get to celebrate St Patrick's Day. We went to Pat O' Briens last year for it and it was insane.
