University professors, state university, masters degree, are paid 25,000 pesos per month, net, to start, according to what I've been told (department head, confirmed by others). Openings occur from time to time, and preference is given Mexican citizens when there is one. Nevertheless, there are a few expats who land one of these, now and then.
There is a website called www.occ.com.mx that lists a lot of jobs available throughout Mexico and they often give a salary or range for the position.
