Saw him last november, the man was AMAZING! Really a highlight at TTR, and yes, just like in the video, people stopped doing what they where doing, mingling around, dancing, etc... to see him perform and you don´t see people at TTR stop doing what they are doing very often. Hope to see him in June.
I talked to him about flying him to the US and have him perform at our daughter's Wedding! He was very willing. Our daughter since has decided to get married at the farm....with more of a Country theme.......her Loss! This guy is one of the best performers I have ever seen!
At the risk of ridicule, I am going to take a bit of an opposite position to this thread. First let me say this performer is in fact awesome and wildly talented. He is amazing. But, his performances at TTR every Friday just goes on and on. What Fantasiosos says above is correct: The party just stops. We have found that People stop dancing, then start leaving. It sucks the energy out of PatyOs. It just takes the DJ too long to start ramping up the energy again. So, we agree the guy is really talented and unbelievable, but it drags the party by going so long. Maybe if they had him early it would be better.
That's funny.............as I was gathering information about bringing him to the US....the resort management and resort entertainment staff indicated to me that they receive more positive comments about his performances than any other aspect of the resort week after week. It's hard to please everyone! PEACE!
I loved the violin performances, myself. I love live music, especially if it's lively music. (Sometimes Temptation has a live band that plays slow country/rock stuff + it just bores me) About the party stopping: one time he performed on the elevated platform. This was great as he wasn't "in the way" and people were dancing as usual. But another time he was ground level, and yeah, I guess it did interfere with the dancing - so I see that point of view, too.

As I said the guy is very talented. He stands out in your mind in the week blur of alcohol and pit bull. I think because it is unusual, people remember it. If the desk staff asked: what do you think of the violin player? Most would say, myself included, "he's awesome". So that is where they leave it. My point is not that he is not awesome in his own right, just that we go to PatyOs for a high energy party time. I would bet that if you put the violin player in Nice Shoes you would get a few that would go to watch his 30-40 min set, but most would stick their head in, say wow he is amazing, listen for 4-10 min and then move on. To PatyOs for the party. Cheers2us I loved the violin performances, myself. I love live music, especially if it's lively music. He was on a short stage twice and the elevated platform 3 times. He was not on the dance floor, but being in the way is not the problem, you can't dance to it anyway. I don't ever recall seeing people dance to it. Well, except those who had drunk enough they would dance to a lawnmower. Every time it brought the party vibe to a stop. When he plays, after about 7-10 min, people are leaving to do wardrobe changes, go get drinks, walk the property, etc. As was said earlier, not everyone has the same tastes. That is one of things we all loved about TTR, something for everyone. I was just trying to point out that the party needs to be high energy in PatyOs (next "Bash"), especially on Friday nights.
Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I'm just sayin that if his 15-20 minute performance ruined, spoiled, etc your party.........you didn't have much party happening. It's all good......no worries.
