I am in this situation, as my passport has my maiden name. We've been married for 3 years, but we keep booking trips, so I can't get my passport changed because we always have travel booked. I am just always very careful to book travel in my maiden name. Plane ticket name and passport name must match or they can refuse to let you board. I was also careful with the resort, as I booked under my married name, so I sent them an email advising that my passport would not match, so they changed our reservation to Sean's name.
