Exactly! not the same vibe or people at GP. . ppl don't plan their return around ppl that they meet at the resort. TTR draws you back just so you can meet up again and continue the series of vacations together. Ppl who were complete strangers are great resort buddies after a few trips. Never seen the Temptation chemistry on such a massive scale at any other place. Chances are if you return to Temptation, you will cross paths with someone you knew prior or someone who mutually knows someone you met at TTR. It's like 6 degrees of TTR.

 

Ok I think we're doing this backwards. We were at TTR during Labor Day weekend and when we returned home it felt like we didn't have a true vacation. We were at Temptation with 32 friends, now were going to GP at the end of January 2013 for true relaxation. I truly enjoy TTR, I just want to see something different.

Thanks for the review, my wife and i were also at temptations and had a blast, we are trying out golden for the first time, i'm sure we will party..but want to relax a little too, its only a short 5 night trip!!!

Thanks for this trip report you two! We just got back from TTR 2 weeks ago, our 3rd trip there this year. Ali wants to go away and relax for her birthday and we were considering other places too but your report made GP sound wonderful, we'll book tonight for Dec. 14-21.

 

Hopefully we will see you there, we are going at the end of January as well.

 

so thinking mid feb TTR and a few days to pamper the wife with less party atmosphere at another resort with friends. GP thru our normal booking engine Orbitz is $700 / night. WTH? any advice?

 

yes.. its not worth that, look at a 5 star for that price.. lol

 

We booked GP for late January. Our rate for 6 nites and airfare was 2898.00 total for the 2 of us. Figure around 800.00 for the air that makes it about 2100.00/6 nights = 350.00 per couple a night.

Damn. I love GP but even it is not worth that amount a night!
