They are more relaxed on the pants issue in the summer months than they are in the winter months, so take that into consideration.
Bring a pair in case I use it and glad it was winter when we left canada got my jacket, pants on me!!! And walking on the sand!! Yep!!! I think the heat is gone now FINALLY. Also bring a sweatshirt et put it on your carry on bag so you can sleep on it in the plane. Bring a pair of shoe too if you going in a expedition or something! WHAT??? Why on earth would they lower the standards? The ladies dress up, the gents should too. What's wrong with showing a bit of class in a nice restaurant? I can look at blokes in shorts all day, I like to see a well turned out chap. Not impressed. :daisy:
From Temptation's website just now: THE VILLAGE WOK Enjoy the sweeping, ocean views that our Asian-inspired restaurant will provide you with, as you delight your palate with the most exquisite, á la carte Asian specialties and surrender to its seductive, intimate atmosphere for an evening to cherish. Reservations required. Open 6:00 P.M. – 11:00 P.M. Air-conditioned. Dress code: no shorts, no t-shirts and no sandals Enforcement has always always been inconsistent...I wouldn't count on getting in based on the occasional reports of people who were seated wearing shorts.
I went there in T-shirt, shirt and sandals .. and they didn't say a word. It's only TO NOT HAVE the Beach look. So dress, and jean short yould be ok
My hubby always brings a pair or two of very light weight jeans - trust, it's damn hot - but he manages. I think he wore 1 of the pair one time in August; whereas, in March he will use on the regular. Now, 95% of the time he wears shorts, but they are dress shorts and very stylish - he has yet to have a problem w/ dress code. I think as long as you look classy and well dressed they are not going to say anything. But, this is only our experience - so my advice bring some pants (light weight) just in case bc July/August month is a completely different heat then what you would experience in Feb or Mar. Nonetheless, have a blast guys!! Cheers, :daveandmo: C
I always bring a pair of jeans and nice pants for the restaurant(s)....that being said, I remember one trip down I packed quite a bit in advance (no, wasn't excited to go at all...lol) and added things every week or so to the bag. Naturally I didn't bother to go back through it before we left and when we arrived I had no less than 5 pairs of jeans in the bag.......Ann laughed her ass off at me.....
I was one of two guys who had on pants and a button down shirt on and the rest had a t-shirt and shorts on when we went to the wok. I only saw one person get turned away but that person had swim type shorts on a tank top on. I would pack them just in case and be safe.
