I did not count my flip flops or Tom's shoes. It was hard to hold back and choose which stay and which go.

Still waiting on a Frederick's of Hollywood package. Should be here tomorrow while I am at work. Nothing like last minute.

Airport outfit for those coming from cold regions? Do you layer? I leave coat in car but have a jacket with a tank underneath. I have seen people in track suits who peel off on the plane down to their shorts. Now that is efficient!

That's what we usually do...layer and peel lol Last year it was freezing/snow the day we left and in a couple of hours it was sunny and 90!

leave heavy jackets in car, and each have a light sweatshirt on when we get to the airport, also doubles as a good pillow for the flight.

Guess shoes aren't a big deal for Janet. She will probably have one pair of flip flops, and maybe 2 pairs of heals. Its actually harder to pack my shoes because one pair of mens dress shoes is so damn BIG.

LOL...only 3 pairs of shoes?! How is that possible? I obviously have issues :icon_redface:. I'll be packing 3 or 4 different flip flips to match my various bikinis, a pair of running shoes for the gym, high-heeled maryjanes for schoolgirl night, over-the-knee boots for my pirate costume, satin heels for Lingerie night, and 3 high-heeled sandals for my other nighttime outfits.

But it's all good...I bought a bigger suitcase and paid for an extra baggage allowance!! :D

I only brought 3 pairs of shoes with me last month - 3 different types of sandals (my Keen for out of the hotel and on the airplane, flip flops for the pool, and a nice pair for going out.

I found that sarongs work great in Cancun. They are easy to pack and you can dress them up or down really easily with the right accessories - and you can tie them different ways so it doesn't feel like the same dress. I had one that I brought with me the first time, and ended up WAY overpacking that time, and found I just kept gravitating to the sarong. So in January, I bought two more sarongs online (they were only $15 each) and brought 3 with me for the trip. No bra, no panties - just the sarong and I switched between them about 80% of the time I was there for a week. Go with darker colors to hide any dirt or drink spills :)

I brought a few t-shirts and a pair of long shorts (I knew we would be going to Chichen Itza), and 3 bathing suits and a cover-up. Then packed for the theme nights.

The next time we go, I would bring water shoes, like the kind you would wear in a lake for rocky beaches. The reason why is that they really help in the sexy pool to not slip and also to protect your feet from sharp tile edges. I slipped many times and got a lot of bruises, and it was simply because of bare feet being "slippery" or my sandals not having enough grip on the tile. Add too much drinking and, well, it is a dangerous place!

Bring a waterproof camera for pool/ocean pics - you'll be glad you did.
Bring any cold symptom medicines you may want, just in case you start coming down with something - especially if you are picky about what works for you.
We brought 2 feather pillows in a large checked bag and loved having them with us!
Bring a little tube of hydrocortisone and/or calamine lotion if you are prone to bug bites! When we went for a walk on the beach at night, the next day I had several bites on my ankles - kind of like mosquito bites. I'm glad I had cortisone cream with me because they itched really bad (and buying that stuff will eat up your cash!)
If you like music in your room, bring a little speaker set or docking station with speakers for an iPod/mp3 player. The Temptation Suite has one, but the other rooms don't. It was nice to have our own music in the room, and there are mini speakers that don't cost a lot and sound pretty good.
Bring a few stamps if you want to send postcards
The rooms have blow dryers, but I had to bring mine because I need a diffuser and it won't fit on the mini dryers - if you can use the mini one in the bathroom, that saves some space in the suitcase!
Bring a backpack or some type of bag you like that is easy/comfortable to carry, semi-waterproof, and large enough to carry what you need if you go sight-seeing or souvenir shopping. A backpack works better than a bag on the Boobs Cruise too.
You need a little bag for lipstick/chapstick, money, room key, sunblock - good to get one that is somewhat waterproof it using by the pool! Good to have a small nicer one for going out.

For my husband, he brought 2 pairs of nice jeans (one he wore on the plane), 2 swim trunks, 1 pair of bermuda shorts, and 2 nice collared/button up shirts. He brought water shoes, sandals and a pair of Merrill suede shoes for going off the resort and at night. He wore jeans and a nice shirt to the Asian and Italian restaurants, and it was fine. I also got him some SPF t-shirts at Big 5 and those were great to have - they dry really quick if they get wet and give some extra sunburn protection. He also brought a hat for sun protection.

Overpacking is just a hassle when you get home, because the humidity forces you to wash everything anyway, even if it didn't get worn.
And definitely bring your Bubba Cup!! you can pack bathing suits inside it, or something that you don't want to be crushed with pressure :)

Ohhhh...Todd's still embarrassed about that one! :icon_redface:Believe me--he's been cut off the jokes! The only thing that somewhat redeems him is that he did win the beer drinking competition just minutes before! :daveandmo:

First Mate, glad you're all packed and ready! Have a great time!

That is the PERFECT advice! You are so right about the damn shoes! Also, if you have a man coming with you he only needs 3 pairs of shorts for night. Mix and match with different tops for the week. Men are easy to dress! And personaly, for the price, I would buy the insulated TTR mugs from the gift shop instead of taking up the room in my suitcase.
