I think Sirloin Stockade is a franchise too. Of course then so are Tok's, VIP's, Bisquets, Bisquets Obregón, Sanborn's--I forgot about Mexican franchises.

Denny's is one that was here for a few years and then didn't make it--bought out by Sanborn's I think.

Well, I wasn't referring to Mexican franchises, but rather ones that come from the US and then try to cut corners on suppliers, or cater to "Mexican tastes", thereby screwing the menu... I ate at the Carl's Jr a few time and it was not too bad, but paying 110+ pesos for a medium combo wasn't enjoyable, the you have "the six dollar" burger that was actually $6+ here in Mexico.. I thought that was kind of funny, explaining to people that they needed to rename it, nevermind that it was never really $6 in the States anyway, but more like $3.

The Harry's in Cancun is part of Grupo Andersons.

For US franchises, Bubba Gump, Outback and Margaritaville can be added to the list.

Can't find Harry's on the Grupo Anderson site. Heard it was part of a U.S. chain--didn't know it was part of it but thanks.

Forgot about the other ones!! So is Pat O'Brien's another chain or part of Grupo Anderson too? They had one downtown a long time ago with that or a similar name.

LOL! On the link that I showed, look to the far right on the top banner part and you'll see the Harry's logo.

I don't know anything about Pat O's, have never even been in it.

Pat O's is the first (1991) franchise that I know of off the famous Pat O'Brien's in New Orleans, there's a total of five around the world these days.

    If they haven't been mentioned already in the franchise hunt;

    The Hard Rock Cafe

    Planet Hollywood

    Friday's

    Rainforest Cafe

    Chocolate City (?)

    La Parilla

    Lorenzillo's

    100% Natural

    VIP

    Sanborn's

    Cambalache

    Mikado

    Hooters

Some may be "quasi" franchises of a sort, like Lorenzillo's where the original is in Cancun and at least one other offering in Cabo San Lucas.

Under the banner of chains/franchises what have you we probably could add Rolandi's, recently Coco Bongo's in PDC and a supposed coming in Las Vegas, Caliente, Play City, and La Bodeguita Del Medio also.
