Don't be so sure about Tuesday being a safe day for getting bumped, we arrived on a Monday and were promptly dispatched to Desire for the evening.
Hey guys, whatever happens do NOT let them bump you to Desire Pearl!! We were just there thank god for only 2 days out of our 8 day trip. We decided to PAY for 2 days there to give it a try and give up our Temptation room for that..BIG MISTAKE!! Unless you are a nudist who likes to do NOTHING don't let them send you there....Its still in the process if getting up and running and boy were we pissed!!! We are members and we paid out of pocket an ADDITIONAL $800 jsut for 2 nights...that is with our discount PLUS the Temptations credit and yeah $800 later....That place is nice but no where near the atmosphere as Temptations..the age range is about 45 and up..we were the youngest cpl or at least maybe one of the youngest as most of the people there had kids our age lol....So, if they make it sound like you are getting the world going there think again.....the food was not like Temptations....its NOT better and they hardly have any choices...Its not worth the money nor the time going there....and yeah I would be pissed if they sent me to the family resort!!! Don't let them do that either!!! NO!!!
I've been in chats with the resort myself and they are assuring me that because I'm a repeat customer, I won't be bumped either. Better not since it's far away!
Thanks Donald - I'm on it. Looks like you can only do that 15-days prior to check-in so it's in my calendar to do. And I'm definitely gonna be in contact with TTR a few times to double-check my confirmation details. I do not want to be bumped out of the resort to some "family resort" -- such a horrid hideous vile phrase!
Has anyone ever been bumped using Funjet or Apple Vacations been there twice last time was end of February and resort was full did not hear of anyone getting bumped at that time?
Remember Carrie we were bumped in september, our 13th trip. Repeat means shit to them unless you have a time share.
I have just emailed our travel agent in the UK (Fleetway Travel for any UK bods out there) to ask them to ring the resort and check our booking is secure. This is our first holiday since Deb lost both her sister and her father to the big C last year (and cruelly our 12 yo springer spaniel too a month later) (and it kind of knocked everybody sideways) so the thought of flying 11 hrs to get bumped to Spongebobs Novelty Hotel is not a pleasant one I can assure you. Fingers crossed. I have to say that Fleetway Travel have so far been the nicest bunch of people we have ever dealt with AND cheaper than Expedia for exactly the same holiday. Let's hope they earn their stripes with this task..... T
I booked thru SUNWING is the odds of getting bumped for any supplier or just certain ones??? WE would be last people you would want to bump.... THEY WOULD SEE FIRE SHOOT OUT OF MY A** AND CUSS WORDS THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF lol. Is this just an April thing or can it happen in MA too?
We're with Sunwing, Kelly. I'll be sure to post when I get home it the hotel tries to pull any funny stuff with me. But I can tell you that if you have problems, don't bother calling Sunwing as they don't give a rip about their customers (long story).
