I'm on the fence on this one. We love TTR and all of our friends are there, but it's nice to have an alternative. Maybe we'll give it a year to find its niche then maybe add a couple of days at GOV after TTR in '15. We like the vibe and atmosphere at TTR, but GOV might be a way of letting things settle back down before heading back to reality...

we loved TTR a lot! Its gaps were small to wide. The longer we stayed into March the bigger the gap we felt. We would love to find another topless resort to visit with fun friends and dance and be entertained. We will prob try it out for sure.

I hope that GOV turns out to be great and steals some business from TTR. Let them fight over us, and we will all win, no matter which we choose. This seems to be the first competition for TTR since we started going there 6 years ago, and competition is good for the consumer. That being said, we love TTR and plan to continue staying there.

Thanks Steve and Janet for doing our homework for us. Not to mention we appreciate your "professional opinions."

I think it's great that we may have another "choice" comparable to TTR but I guess it is really going to depend on the what quality you get for your $$$$. If it ends up cheaper than TTR we all will be hard pressed to make the crossover. Truley in the end though IT'S ALL ABOUT THE PEOPLE. We are those people that make up the fun at these places. They should fight over us! Afterall we ARE the entertainment most of the time.

Hats off to Steve and Jannet for taking the time to go over and get all those rumors dispelled!

I think at the end of the day, like steve said they are looking for the go between TTR and Desire, without being the TTR "copy-cat". Let us not forget a few things and perhaps I am reading into this a bit more than need be. They have 400 room. They are OBVIOUSLY marketing this hotel to swingers/lifestyler's as well as people that are just looking to be more risqué'(as like in TTR). What they say and do could and will be 2 different things. Look at TTR! They have PDA/PDS rules in place and we all still get away with it. There are all sorts of different feels to GOV than there are at TTR but like TTR it is 90% the vibe of the people that will make the outcome of the place. If they don't keep the crazy photo lunatic in check it will go down so you can be sure they aren't gonna stand for that.

Secondly take a look at the pictures. The entire vibe and appeal of this place is SEXUAL... semi-private this and that, dance poles in the middle of the bars, lounge seating(beds) in the pool hall. They have to have rules and structure but make no mistake about it they are looking to invite sexuality in a less "raunchy" manner, if you will. After seeing most all of what Steve and Jannet have given us for info, I'd give it a try for sure.

Here is a youtube video that provides some context for the pix that Steve took on his visit. Video is dated FEB 2013 so some changes likely have been made in advance of the repositioning.

Note they seem to hire the same MJ impersonator.

Thanks Steve and Jannet For taking your time :)

That will be an option but not for us.
Some people will like it, some don't..

But i'm not sure if I like or not the concept of their hotel.
Semi private.. Like I like to have a door to my bathroom / shower.. LOL

Oh well .. Will See.. I'm out for my walk :)
