Thanks everyone, we have USA Transfers picking us up in an hour so I best go and pack Just a short 18 hr door to door journey to look forward to, it seems the weather in the UK is not much cooler than it is in Cancun which is a definite rarity.
Safely back in Nottingham, England and my online set up sorted. But that was an ordeal! 8.5 hours sat in an aisle seat getting shoulder bumped every 15 mins while next to a stinky Scottish woman (who went to the bathroom 7 times and needed access to her bag in the overhead locker 3 times) and the airline only offered a choice of 3 films to watch none of which I was interested in. As if that wasn't enough we landed half an hour early then sat on the tarmac for an hour while they found us a gate to deplane from. Then 20 minutes for them to dock the bridge thing. Then an hour and twenty at immigration, expecting our suitcases to be ready by this time, but they weren't. Another 30 mins to wait for cases, then another 20 min wait at the bus stop in the pouring rain for the bus to the car rental place. Paperwork completed then had to load 4 suitcases, 4 bags and 2 sleepy kids in torrential rain again and drive the final leg of the journey home, 4 hours after landing. The heavy rain meant I couldn't really go faster than 40mph most of the way. Stopped for coffee to keep awake and seems everyone else had the same idea given the driving conditions - another 30 minute line for coffee! Finally home another 2.5 hours later. 18 hrs total door to door with 5 hrs sleep in the last 36. But it is nice to be back!
