Exactly! Detailed trip reports have always been an intrinsic part of the forum. It gives others an idea of what to expect, those who were there at the same time may remember things they had forgotten and provides a medium for the author to preserve their memories that they can look back on. Imho we can never get enough of these. Thanks sjw2014.
I agree the reports are great, and one of the best parts of the site. Reading other stories, good or bad, is why I come here (and to kill time at my boring work). Plus I like to give new people info on what to expect. I wish I had known about this site before my first trip. Thank god I found people that did, and they “forced” me to get on the Boobs Cruise. Saying a review is too detailed is just stupid. I always wanted to write a day by day review but it would like a little something like this: Saturday 10am - Arrive from Philly on my direct flight, got bags and got out of the airport pretty quickly. Pretty quick ride to the hotel, but had to drop others off first (now I know to book USA Transfers), but the driver was cool and had beer. So I drank several and tipped him 20. 12pm - Arrive at Temptation, greeted warmly by the awesome dudes at the front door. Received a room that wasn't the ocean view I paid for. Asked for a different room nicely. Was taken care of and all was good. Room was clean and nice. Unpacked, changed. 12:30 pm - had 2 drinks at the quiet pool bar with the wife just to let the fact we are here set in. 1pm - Make my way over to the sexy pool... (insert a weeks’ worth of god only knows what here, I can't clearly remember. But I am pretty sure it was awesome) Saturday 8am - Pack and checkout in a drunken panic. 6pm - Arrive a home. Go to bed. Cry into my pillow that vacation is over.
Awesome trip report. I love the detailed but not too detailed ones lol It's reports like this that gets us off our butts and starting to plan. Love it.
Amen Steve.. and yes sjw2014, having written a few detailed trip reports ourselves, it does all the things that Steve mentions... plus the added pleasure of reliving the times you do remember :lotsofmichaelfs:
Feb TTR Can you post your dates? Look forward to meeting new friends! Easiest way to post dates is add them to your signature. Always there!,
Great trip report. For those of us who have been there before, we, well I do anyway, as I read trip reports, I laugh and shake my head remembering some of the same things you experienced. Or wondering, why in the hell didn't I think of that. And for the newbies, gives them true honest ideas of what to expect when they visit TTR and meet other CCC people. Then when the time comes to return to home life, we wish we didn't have to leave and wonder how soon we can come back. So thank you for your report.
