As far as I'm concerned Chinos makes Temptation, Cancun what it is. I was at the resort while he was away in Cabo 2 years ago. It wasn't the same place. There was a kid, (Christian, I think was his name) that had the job. He wasn't half as fun or nearly as polished. In my opinion, the place suffered under Chinos's absence.
I also went to Cabo TTR last May to try something different. I found myself watching what I viewed as a "Cheap Cast Substitute" of what I became used to while vacationing at a TTR property. Chinos and Omar are the men. Before you bitch about Chinos being, in your opinion "inapproriate", try the place without him. He runs the show and the cast and makes it the fun place we all love. The place would be amiss without him.

I don't think Chinos intentionally tries to "hurt" anyone

I agree with that statement. However, the volume of his voice can grate on my nerves at times. I usually take off to the quiet pool or the beach when it gets to be a bit much.

I like the beds though and have never understood the many comments about them!!!

We found out, a couple of trips ago that you can request a "foamy" (foam mattress) if you find your bed too hard. Some rooms definitely need them in my opinion. Just ask at the front desk.

I'm glad I read the thread and have been forewarned about Chino's act. Now that I know what to expect, I can go to the beach or room or wherever if I don't like his entertainment..I'm pretty thick skinned and I don't think there is anything an entertainer could say to me or about me that I couldn't laugh with and roll with it.... But I do know if I see a woman cry over an insult or someone with a physical or mental handicap being picked on it strikes a nerve.. If his act is taken in fun by everyone I hope to enjoy it.. If not I just won't go back... nuff said about that...Hard beds? Every resort I've been in in Mexico has hard beds.. I guess from the prefab modular construction they are molded as part of the room... a w quick trip to a walmart for a blowup mattress can make a stay much more enjoyable.. then I just leave it and hope maybe one of the hotel staff can keep it for themselves when I leave. But most of the time after drinking and being in the sun all day and clubs at night I don't need much of a bed to sleep... 9 more days until I'm there.. can't wait... and this was a good thread to hear concerns and opinions..

That's how we found out the resort supplies foam mattress covers. We were walking in the front door with one from Walmart. LOL

Ok here's my take on this. Some of us don't take offence to certain things that otheres do n vice versa. Never thought about the retard thing until you explained about your daughter n i totally understand how that would bother you. Now as far as Chinos picking on big people, skinny people, people w big boobs, older people, young people, he picks on everyone. I have a muscular body n he's picked on me many times. Big deal!! Thats part of his job, to entertain us. I've never seen anyone get really hurt by him picking on them. I've seen a few boyfriends/husbands get a little jealous when Chinos made comments about their women, but really nothing to serious. I'm glad you had a great trip n i'm sorry you were offended by some of his comments. I understand. Chinos is not for everyone. I'd say 90% of the people like him but that still leaves 10% that do not. Just my two cents...

As far as my two cents is worth....Chino's makes ALLLL the difference in entertainment. We've been to TTR Cancun and Cabo and when he's not there the dynamics of the enterainment staff is night and day. Yes, he can be a bit brash but it's intended as harmless fun and a way to instigate involvement. And as far as the "No one knows you and no one gives a shit" is true to some respect but if you get involved and are participating in games and events let me tell you...by the time you leave everybody's gonna know you!

Ya know after thinking a bit, most of us have never been on the other end and i'm sure stuff like that is hard to watch/see/experience, so we really don't what that feels like, so I can see where some people would think Chinos was, for lack of a better word....abrasive.

I musta been too drunk to notice the beds, or maybe I like a overly firm bed.....lol....never noticed...I think....
