Got to agree with you Todd, the sex is fine but I like a good murder mystery way better. I am on chapter 22 or 23 or something and if I hadn't borrowed it from a neighbour I wouldn't have purchased it. I like it but I get a little sick of hearing about his long finger and her subconscious. I will probably get through this book but whether or not I read book two, we'll see. I can't believe they want to make a movie out of this, I guess waredrobe will be easy.
Agree with Todd n Monique Have to say I bought all 3 ebooks right away assuming I wouldn't b able to start the next one. Well I bought them n March when I was on Spring break read a few more chapters of book one on our way to TTR n April and a few more chapters on an airplane to Florida but have to be honest none of it blows me away most of it really isnt that crazy to me! I guess I was already erotic not sure? So my opinion it was good plane reading material maybe learned a thing or two.
I bet that the makers of "magic mike" are loving the 50 shades books. Based off the reported box office returns this weekend the books got there target audience all warmed up for them looking for more.
I loved all three of the books. I felt that the story got better with each book! When I was reading these books, ALL I thought about was sex. No, I didn't want to be spanked, or tied up(well, maybe), but the whole scenario just turned me on. I was sooo sad when I finished the last one..however, if they make this into a movie it will suck. Books are always better than their movies! Besides, who is a virgin still at 21 or 22?????
Stacia's read through the book past the first couple so-called "hot" scenes and she told me I write better ones. I wrote mine in my book, so I'm biased, and so might she be, but still, made me feel sort of cheated that I'm not making the millions those books are... LOL!
When I started college, I borrowed a book called 'Swimming Sweet Arrow', off a girl who said it was a must read and very dirty. Again, I thought it was pants, so not falling into that trap again! Like you I must also think of naughtier stuff in my head!
Lots of ladies were reading 50 shades poolside at TTR this last week. The consensus among them was that it was "hot" it's a little tame for my personal taste, but I think anything that opens the lines of communication about sexual needs and fulfillment is fantastic! It's an easy read and has a fun plot if you just want a casual book series! ~Shawna
