The Navy SEALs were amazing, they land in his compound, fire a warning shot and hit the fucker in the eye!! ala David Letterman
The burial at sea was done for a couple of reasons. First, to meet the Islamic law of a quick burial (within 24 hours after death) and second, to eliminate a location that could later be used as a shrine or a place where his followers could gather, kind of like a journey to Mecca. At least that is what I have read. Personally, it makes sense and it was a great idea.
Let them all go visit his shrine. I will even help pay to put one down there if they give me a general location where they buried him.
He is buried at the bottom of the ocean. I will be happy to invite the rest of them to go visit him there. Get my point????
I tried to look at the picture that you posted but it has been removed, I wished I could have seen it to see if it was the one and the same. As far as I know it is authentic, if not it is very convincing. When I say what I am about to say please remember I am not an Obama supporter but with how Pakistan has been acting in the past couple of years and them not being helpful on trying to find OBL and the big risk involved in going after this guy in a souverign land, he did have to give the go ahead.
Here you go Mikey this is the picture I was referring to, it wont be removed from this site: Osama bin Laden corpse photo is fake | World news | guardian.co.uk From what I read today the US are debating whether to release the true photo, since it would most likely only encourage his supporters to commit further atrocities. Personally, I believe they should release it because there are lots of conspiracy rumours going round that he isn't really dead at all, and it's just a re-election ploy. Of course, even if they do there will be people calling it fake. As for Pakistan I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Osama's 'mansion' (if I ever own a mansion I hope it isnt like that one) was less than a mile from their primary special forces base. Going in without Pakistan's permission was the only option - that was a good decision.
Yep, makes sense -well from a diplomatic point of view. At the time that I posted my comments that information hadn't been released. I'd have preferred they capture him alive and drop him in Times Square, and then let everyone know he was there.
Cheers to that Steve. It cracks me up also when they say Osama was holed up in his Mansion, Im with you on that one, If thats a Mansion then I dont want one...lol
