Well we got here last night, and so far we haven't seen any wrist bands. we bought so and will wear them today around the pool and see if we fine anybody else wearing them. I post again Thursday
No luck finding any orange wrist bands around here. Does anyone down there have any extras? We leave in the morning and should be in Cancun this time tomorrow afternoon. Can't wait!!!! :daveandmo:
A word of advice. If you want the wristband thing to work, you have to seek out someone who is wearing one and kind of network about who has one to give you. I arrived with 23 to give out and only handed out a few. (yet there were at least 40 CC members there during our wk.) It's my feeling that once you get there there are so many great people to meet that people just wing it without seeking out anyone special. Anyway, I gave it a try, it didn't seem to work. Larry
Sounded like a nice idea but it definitely fizzled quick. We saw probably 30+ cancuncare people and only a couple had the bracelets on. Getting to know people seems to work just fine by remembering the pictures from this site. Everyone is so open and friendly a quick Hi, you are ___ from cancuncare and it feels like you have known them for years.
For those in Halifax (and I know there's a few of you here.) Nova Scotia , Canada ... home of 14 Gold medals , The Dollar Store has 5 different coloured bands for $1 ... including an orange one. go to the party section or kids toys section ( in Bayer's lake go to the back of the store) I'll take the two orange ones out of the packs and give the rest to my kids.
Orange wristbands eh?? Okay I guess we will have a peek when in town on the weekend... Kids likely have some laying around here as well. They have everything else lol. I guees we will just have to decide how many x's to put on them
