OPENING DAY, Los Tigres

Our favorite local team will play their first game of the new season this Saturday, at 6:30 PM. This will be an extra special game because it is against the Diablos of Mexico City.

I heard Roger Clemens is pitching. So pissed I am working as I would love to boo him.

 

And, to think I bought all that hype about his supposedly "really strong work ethic" to explain his super fitness and strength into middle age.

Where'd you hear he's pitching for the Tigres? Interesting, but I didn't see any mention of it elsewhere.

 

The only thing I can find on the web is that they were trying to land him last year and the Tigres roster doesn't list him. So......

 

I got a text from a friend who read it in the paper

 

Opening night is sold out.

 

Well see. Maybe it was a marketing ploy. Got tix sold, right.

 

In what was a fairly close game, the Tigres lost their opener, 4-3, to the Diablos of Mexico City.

The Tigres went ahead, 3-2, in the seventh but lost their slim lead when the visitors scored another two runs, ending the scoring for this game.

 

Did Clemons pitch?

 

How much more shame could one man endure? I hope he has a limit to his self-loating; he was the best once.

PS: My Permanent Residence application is now in the hands of the INM Cancun.......5 to 8 weeks to wait. Wish me luck!
