We have left our door open a few times, but have never had any visitors. We usually book a garden view room, so there aren't usually a lot of couples walking by. We will probably try again in Feb. Last trip, we saw an open door and poked our heads inside for a peek. The husband, dressed in nice dinner attire, was quite shocked to see two heads peeking in. We quickly closed the door and walked down the hallway laughing our asses off.
Next time if you’re visiting with us we will open our door just for you while everyone else watches us from their balcony
Start the trend and we'll see if it becomes custom or remains legend... dare I say legendary (HIMYM reference). But it needs to be fully open. No half open BS. Let's not confuse people.
In the garden view rooms atleast, the doors have a stop on the wall and it moves to become a hook to hold the door open.
This sounds great in theory, but I could imagine it would get rather awkward if one of the parties wasn't feeling it from the other.
Wife and I will be there end of September, always request first floor and leave door open quite often.
My husband and I love being watched. If the balcony shows don't work next month, we may have to try leaving the door open. Lol!
