My husband and I will be staying at the Royal Caribbean 8/11 - 8/18/07. However our flight is coming in on Friday afternoon ~ it was so much cheaper this way :D.

So I am looking for suggestions on a nice cheap hotel near the Royal Carribean where we can crash for Friday night only. Looking to spend $100 or less for one night.

    Thanks.

welcome aboard. I checked out the date 08/10/07 on kayak.com and found a number of places in Cancun at that price. Not very many of the nicer ones due to your price restriction, tho.

There really isn't much out by the Caribbean that will be in your price range, the closest hotel is the Omni and I believe it's quite a bit more expensive. If you want to stay in the hotel zone for that night, you might check out the Cancun Clipper Club. If you don't mind spending an evening downtown, and I do recommend it, check out the Radisson, Xbalanque or Margaritas hotels.

Lots to see and do downtown, Yaxchilan Avenue is alive and kicking with restaurants and bars.

I never thought about staying downtown but I guess that wouldn't be a bad idea!!

I just don't want to spend that much to stay somewhere for less than 24 hours.

    Thanks for the info.

Stay over at Isla (mujeres) for the night.
Cheap rates, high availability, lots of fun, and very much an excellent and complimentary addition to your itinerary.
I think this would be another good solution.

PS If you're going to have a lot of luggage with you, pack an overnight bag to take with you to Isla on the ferry and make arragements to leave the rest at your hotel until the next day.

    THANKS FOR THE ADVICE!

We've decided to stay downtown most likely at the Radisson.
