I got a question about Omni. I am going to be there from 3/14-3/19. Is it a wraist band only, no guest allowed hotel? I heard that's common in Cancun.

It is common for all AI hotels, as they don't want guests dipping into the amenties (free booze, food, etc.) that are provided solely for their patrons who paid a premium for AI.

Omni is not an all-AI hotel though. The reservation I booked is not AI.

You can have guests come to the Omni for a day.

Because they do have a non all inclusive option the guest would have the ability to pay for what he/she eats and drinks.

Then it could be that in order to have a guest the guest must do all an inclusive day pass.

I am not that concerned about how the guests can pay for their meals. I can just charge everything to my room if there is a no cash policy. I am more concerned about access. I heard that there are hotels where security won't let anyone in without a wraist band. I am just wondering if Omni is one of them.

They don't let anyone in without a wristband who hasn't paid for a day pass.

Your guest won't get past the lobby without a wrist band but can certainly go to the front desk and buy a day pass.

It may not be an option for you tocharge their food addrinks to your room anymore. They may have to buy a day pass.
