Can someone who has stayed at the Omni tell me what the cost of the average breakfast, lunch and dinner entree costs? Also, what is the cost of beer vs. hard liquor? An yes....I already know they have an all-inclusive option. Michelle
Michelle, Dany and I stayed there once but did th AI option. You might try PMing Janie and asking here. She's definitely the resident Omni expert!
I took some notes during my 2 trips to the Omni in 2004, but didn't notice if prices changed when I was there in May 2006. Guacamole, chips, and pico.........45 pesos Nachos.........65 pesos BLT..............85 pesos Quesadilla....70 pesos Hot Dog........80 pesos Club Sandwich....95 pesos French Fries.......40 pesos Cheeseburger....95 pesos Chicken Salad sandwich....90 pesos Tuna Salad sandwich........ 90 pesos Drinks.....pina colada, miami vice, daiquiri, tequila sunrise, margaritas....55 pesos Sorry, but didn't eat breakfast or dinner at the hotel. Only lunch by the pool or beachfront restaurant and some drinks. Hope this helps.
Ahhh....yep, I won't be eating at the Omni. Who in their right mind would pay $8 for a freakin hot dog?!!!! Michelle
Michelle, I got an email from Jodi, the resident Omni expert, and she said a can of coke is $3.50 !!! :blueshock:
I will be spending most of my time at philly cheese steak & the taco factory when I get hungry. I'll get my booze from downtown and make my own drinks...... Michelle
I believe there is at least one small convenience store across from the Omni to stock up on bottled water, pop, snacks, etc. as well as beer/booze for your room. Also a Rotten Ronnies (er, MacDonalds) across the street, and a few other restaurants within walking distance. Or, a five minute bus ride takes you to many more restaurants and shops.
I went past Captain Coves for the first time in a while the other day. It's looking great! They have also torn down the little shop that was outside, it's not clear yet whether they are rebuilding another store or doing something else with the space.
There's an OXXO across the street from the Omni. We took a bus downtown and stocked up on beverages and snacks for the first few days, but then realized that OXXO has about the same prices. After that, we stopped at OXXO almost every evening on the way back to the hotel.
