Thank you. 30,000 is yet another milestone. Although has to be said, that is over 12 years so and many are no longer active. That said we are still busier than we have ever been in the 12 years we've been going, despite the draw of places such as Facebook. Long may it continue!
Facebook shmacebook. I was one of the first non-college Facebook users (got an invite from one of my college cousins in 2006) and got way sucked in and came to realize it is the devil. Won't even launch into that dissertation! But synopsis - most misused piece of digital media out there. LONG LIVE CCC!!
I'm not surprised you guys haven't been affected too much by Facebook, this is such a taboo idea (at least where we are from) so this is an escape that, at least us, want to keep secret. This site is great Steve, I feel our trip wouldn't be 1/ 2 as fun without reading, meeting and building the excitement through the site.
Facebook is the devil! Luv it and you can't just state that without a small explanation. Not looking for a debate, just curious and intrigued. (I own stock in Facebook and concerned your statement is a growing trend)
People like to judge too much on there and rely on it to share every bit of news. I've had friends and family put important news there and since I don't go on often, I wouldn't know about things like pregnancies and engagements for months because everyone assumes everyone knows just because it was on Facebook. It is a crutch for people to lose their actual social skills, if they ever actually had any to begin with. How's that?
That is fine. . .thanks for your 'food for thought' Your view is not common (at least in my world) but is refreshing. As I said I have a vested interest in facebook and I believe it is not a 'buy and hold' One day the facebook fad will be dead. Wondering if it is last call at the party. And time to sell.
Yep , we missed our Nephews wedding cause her ( Bonnie) sister assumed I would see her posts on FB. Bonnie wasn't on at the time we got called all sorts of names,,, their loss
Congratulations on such great success Steve and Janet. You both have established an amazing network for people to gather information and create friendships prior to their pending vacation. I know we were ecstatic to find CCC back when the resort was BBG. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the 30,000 members of CCC thus far. We luv you guys and wishing you both continued success in all that you do!! PS. I seriously don't know what we'd do without CCC - we are most definitely addicts :typing: Cheers, :daveandmo: C
