I have a yoga teacher who signed up with some agency a while ago to teach at resorts. Her first assignment was Hedo, and she was so excited to get the job, she didn't even ask any questions. So, there she was, surrounded by naked people in downward facing dog....!:doh:
They must have been talking about our group.last week. Vita you Thought May 3rd cruise was bad!!!. we went on the 7th as well that cruise will go down into the history books!!! OMG my eyes are burning lol. Don't know what happened with the big hype for the 11th cruise, that cruise was very tame.
Kinda surprising,but there are a good many folks that wind up at Hedo and say "WTF" !!! A LOT of Magazines and Fashion companies bring groups of bikini Models for photo shoots. They are really just a bunch of 18-19 year old high school girls and bring their Moms (YEP) !!! Apparently quite a few of them get "slap happy" with the idea of their daughters get paid for being photographed and don't really understand what "Grandma and Grandpa gone wild" actually means!!! LOL !! "If I catch you at that Nude Pool place, I am going to spank your A**"
We were at Desire Cabo last April when a large group of Japanese tourists showed up! Practically everyone in the pool were naked, the look on their faces when they were being escorted to their rooms was priceless! They would show up for breakfast where everyone was clothed but at lunch, many of them covered their faces as they walked by the nude people to get to the buffet. They all went to the beach or off campus during the day. One of the ladies would come up to the hot tub and sit in the corner by herself and watch all the entertainment in the jacuzzi and the beds surrounding the area. Could not believe they stayed but they endured a full week of it, many conversations were started on why or how they got booked there. I miss that place though!
It's a good thing they didn't have their cameras up and shooting. Or anything else up and shooting for that matter.
I remember this couple. Jannet and I talked to them as the lady was clearly uncomfortable. The guy had found out about the Boobs Cruise on our cancunboobscruise.com site and they weren't part of the cancuncare forum as far as I know. They were from Russia and didnt speak much English. It was fairly clear the guy knew what it was all about but hadn't told his wife, she was upset at the toplessness and they had a fall out about it. We arranged for them to go back after lunch on a 'normal boat'. The cruise has grown quite a bit in the last few years, we have people coming from GP, GOV and Desire regularly and other hotels now and again - although TTR people are always at least 80%. I guess since we have Facebook pages also the Boobs Cruise standalone website it now gets a wider reach than when it was just mentioned on the TTR forum here. We do still try to keep it to the right kind of people, we have different agencies in Cancun contact us almost weekly wanting to sell it and could really blow it up if we were to start using TripAdvisor as a source of clients - but that would only tone things down with the wrong kind of people and the cruise would lose its popularity with those we want so we don't use those sources. We do sometimes let the tour guys at the hotel sell a few places if we are short on numbers but we limit them on how many they can sell and they have to sell to English speaking couples only.
