I'm an old school rap fan myself....clearly not a fan of this new generation. Old DMX, Old Jay Z....that was the good stuff
I agree full heartedly. Sugar hill gang, Busta rhymes, bone thugs, dmx, tupac, mystikal, and big pun were great. Now we have tons of rehashed covers with a hip hop beat. And why would I want to listen to a guy rubbing in my face about how much money and girls he has for 5 minutes. These guys cant relate to use like the tupacs and the big puns could.
"Laid back, with my mind on my money and my money on my mind!" Question is, how burnt will Dogg be in Cancun? How about a little Biz Markie? Ha! "Oh baby, yoooouuuu! You got what I neeeed. You say he's just a friend, you say he's just a friend!" That tune always made me laugh. Count me as a rocker, but some of the older stuff wasn't too bad. "Push it real good!"
